Adobe offers two versions of their best-selling editing app: Lightroom Classic and Lightroom (also known as Lightroom Creative Cloud or Lightroom CC). What’s the difference? Primarily, where you want your work to live and how involved your editing process is.
Lightroom Classic lives on your desktop, uses your personal preferred storage method, and comes with the comprehensive suite of editing tools you’d expect from a desktop-based editing app.
Its cloud-based counterpart, Lightroom CC, is more streamlined editing-wise but offers more automatic features like tagging and intelligent search, too. It’s also available for desktop, mobile, and web.
